The British Columbia Economic Development Association (BCEDA) is the province’s lead organization for economic development professionals. We work directly with communities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.

What We Do

Through our DisasterSmartBC program, we help communities:

  • Identify and understand economic impacts
  • Develop practical, locally focused recovery strategies
  • Connect with key partners like:
  • Canadian Red Cross
  • Emergency Management BC
  • Provincial and federal agencies
